Provide relevant and quality training, education, and performance support tools to SPP Stakeholders, aiming to be a leading learning organization in the industry.
Vision
The SPP Stakeholder Training Department envisions working consultatively to identify and facilitate programs, researching and sharing training best practices, and promoting excellence within the industry. The goal is to support stakeholders, increase organizational effectiveness, and foster a culture of compliance.
The Objective
Provide educational activities to our stakeholders for the reliable operation of the bulk power system and effective participation in SPP’s energy market(s).
SPP offers a wide range of training opportunities across a variety of functions including:
- Energy Markets
- Operator Training
- Reliability
- Western Energy Imbalance Service (WEIS) market.
Training formats include instructor-led, virtual instructor-led and self-paced e-learning courses.
Markets Training:
The SPP Markets training is designed to provide education and understanding of the market operations, processes and other key implementations.
