Order 1000 Strategic Review Task Force
The SPC Order 1000 Strategic Review Task Force’s (O1000SRTF) responsibility is to develop recommendations to the SPP Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) for a long-term strategy related to the competitive transmission process required by FERC Order 1000, with a focus on improving the effectiveness and reducing the cycle time of this process. The long-term strategy should consider the timeframe to select a Designated Transmission Owner (DTO), provide a framework that allows multiple projects to be worked simultaneously, and determine what information should be prioritized and evaluated as part of the selection of a DTO.
This Task Force will also coordinate with the Transmission Owner Selection Process Task Force (TOSPTF). The O1000SRTF will focus on and review how SPP should comply with competitive requirements of FERC Order No. 1000 from a long-term strategic perspective while the TOSPTF will focus on near-term tactical improvements to SPP’s existing FERC approved TOSP.
